Sartorius Stedim Biotech and NewAge® Industries Inc.
have signed a collaboration agreement that provides the AdvantaPure® GammaTag™ gamma-stable RFID tag exclusively for Sartorius Stedim‘s single-use Fluid Management Technologies portfolio used in the biopharmaceutical industry.
The GammaTag™ is the first gamma stable RFID tag. RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) – technology is an automated identification and tracking technology used to identify read and record predefined events during the lifecycle of critical process components, enabling paperless traceability from original manufacture to disposal.
GammaTag™ RFID tags have a memory capacity of 2 Kb (2,048 bytes) allowing for a significant amount of part specific and associated data to be recorded on and read from the tag.
